Cookie Booth Sign Up Sheet!

It's time to sign up for the Girl Scout Cookie Booths!

We would like each girl to get an opportunity to sell at the cookie booths and we would like to plan on at least three girls and at least two parents for each booth.

It's Cookie Time!

It's that time of the year for selling cookies!

We can begin taking order as of January 1.  All orders must be turned in to the troop leader by January 24.

The first round of cookie orders will be ready for pickup the week of February 13 - 16 for disbursement to customers.

The Nutcracker!

On Sunday, December 4, 2011 our troop will be attending The Nutcracker performed by the Charlotte Youth Ballet! The girls will be earning their Nutcracker Badge at this event.

The Ballet Performance starts at 2:30p.m. but we are able to arrive early and attend a "Behind the Curtains" look at the Ballet which is about an hour before the performance. Girls will need to have their permission slips and $11.00 turned in to Ms. Dianne no later than Wednesday, November 30.

For attending the Nutcracker, the girls will be awarded a Nutcracker Patch!

North Mecklenburg Christmas Parade 2011

The 29th Annual North Mecklenburg Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1:00p.m.  Our Brownie Troop will be marching and will need to meet in the parking lot at 11:45a.m.  All parents are to drop off their daughters and then quickly move out.  The streets will be closed off at 12:00p.m. and will not be allowing anyone to drive through the parade route after that time.  If you'd like to wait at the end of the parade route, that may be easier to pick up your daughter after the parade.

Badge Time!

Congratulations to the girls for earning the "Hear a Story Award" badge. Brownies see that stories hold clues for how to better the world.

The girls chose a character from a book they recently read and at the troop meeting, they took turns discussing ways that the character could have been helped in the story.

The girls were also encouraged to either dress up as the character or bring in an item that represents the character or setting.

Fall Fun

Our next troop meeting will be on November 3 and we would like to encourage our Brownies to dress up as a character from their favorite book!
